Aquarion To Clean Water Mains in Ponds of Plymouth System

Apr 4, 2025 by Peter Fazekas Massachusetts

Water main cleaning project scheduled for April 6 through April 25

Plymouth, MA – April 4, 2025 – Aquarion Water Company is conducting a water main cleaning project in the Ponds of Plymouth system from April 6 through April 25, from Sunday evenings to Friday mornings, between 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

This system-wide cleaning will continue the process of removing the buildup of naturally occurring minerals in the water mains, which helps maintain water clarity, pressure, and overall quality.

During the project, customers may notice periods of lower water pressure or discoloration in the water due to the disturbance of water flows. Aquarion recommends storing water in advance for drinking and cooking, and if water appears discolored, refrain from washing laundry until it runs clear.
