Water Infrastructure Work to Begin in Brookfield

Dec 11, 2023 by Peter Fazekas Connecticut

Pump station replacement project scheduled to start December 18

BROOKFIELD, CONN. – December 11, 2023 – Aquarion Water Company continues to perform essential work on water infrastructure in Brookfield necessary to ensure continued system reliability.

On December 18, construction of a pump station replacement project is scheduled to begin on Nabby Road in Brookfield. This infrastructure upgrade is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system and to ensure the highest quality water and service. Oxford-based Kovacs Construction will be serving as the general contractor for the project.

Due to construction, residences and businesses should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during regular working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The project is expected to be completed in September 2024.

“We greatly appreciate residents’ patience during this project,” said Mike Hiltz, Aquarion’s Manager of Capital Delivery, Engineering and Planning. “We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize disruptions.”
