We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system. Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.
We will be replacing 2,000 feet of main on Greenwich Ave beginning in February 2024. Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m., Sunday through Friday.
Road closures are expected. Greenwich DPW will be notified 24 hours in advance of the closure. Drivers and pedestrians should follow posted detour signs.
Aquarion Water Company is excited to have an opportunity to upgrade the water infrastructure on Greenwich Ave in Greenwich, CT. We are working closely with The Greenwich Board of Selectmen, as well as the Health, Public Works, Highway, and Sewer Departments to ensure our work meets the town’s standards as well as our own.
The town has directed us to perform our work at night, and we apologize for this inconvenience. In advance of our work, we have hired Snyder Civil Engineering to engage those customers whose service laterals will be transferred to the new water main. Snyder Civil will be collecting data on where the service lateral enters the building, gathering contact information from business owners and residents, and will be able to answer any questions you may have on our processes for notification of customers in advance of planned shutdowns.
