Voucher Program

Assistance when you need it most

Our Voucher Program helps eligible customers who are having difficulty paying their water bills. Customers current with their payments may be eligible for a one-time voucher to help offset the cost of their water bill.

Connecticut Customer Assistance Program 

Connecticut customers who qualify can get a one-time voucher. Voucher amounts range from $50 to $250 based on eligibility.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Aquarion's Customer Assistance Program, customers must be:

  • Receiving bills on a monthly basis 
  • A homeowner or small business operator in Aquarion's service territory, or a contractual renter (water bill must be in tenant's name)
How to Apply
  1. Download and complete the application
  2. Attach your proof of eligibility and mail to:

    Hartford, CT 06106

  3. If you are approved, please allow 90 days for the credit to appear on your water bill.

Massachusetts Customer Assistance Program

Massachusetts customers who qualify can get a one-time voucher in the amount of $50.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Aquarion's Customer Assistance Program, customers must be:

  • Receiving bills on a quarterly basis
  • A homeowner in Aquarion's service territory OR a contractual renter (water bill must be in tenant's name)
  • A recipient of benefits through one of these programs:
    • Emergency Aid to Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC)
    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
    • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
    • MassHealth
    • Section 8 (Housing Choice Voucher Program)
    • Food Stamps
    • Fuel/Heating Assistance
    • Medicaid
    • Veteran's Benefits MGL c.115

Please note: Social Security retirement benefits alone do not qualify you for this program.

If you meet the qualifications above, download the application. Complete the application, attach your proof of eligibility, and mail it as instructed.
