Pump station improvement project scheduled to start January 19, 2026

Torrington, CONN. – January 5, 2026 – Aquarion Water Company continues to perform essential work on water infrastructure in Torrington necessary to ensure continued system reliability.

On January 19, renovations are scheduled to begin on Aquarion’s Squire Hill pump station, located within an easement at the Squire Hill Condominium Complex on Winsted Road in Torrington. This infrastructure upgrade is part of an ongoing program to improve the reliability of Aquarion’s water distribution system. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.

“We greatly appreciate residents’ patience during this project,” said Mike Hiltz, Aquarion’s Manager of Project Delivery, Engineering and Planning. “We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions.”
