Aquarion Water Company Urges Greenwich Residents to Seek Alternate Routes During Road Repairs on Arch Street

Roadway restoration scheduled to begin July 6

GREENWICH, CONN. – July 3, 2021 – Aquarion Water Company is encouraging Greenwich residents to seek alternate routes as road repairs are being made to Arch Street in the area of Exit 3 of I-95 following a water main break.  The water main break occurred on Friday night and Aquarion crews were able to restore service to affected customers.  To allow traffic on the road, a temporary, cold patch of pavement has been installed.

Final resurfacing is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 6, once asphalt plants return to service following the holiday weekend.  Residents should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours and are advised to seek alternate routes as permanent restoration of the roadway is completed.

“We greatly appreciate residents’ patience while we complete restoration of the area,” said Miguel Torres, Standby Manager for Aquarion.  “We are working closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions.”

To keep customers informed about scheduled/unscheduled work, Aquarion utilizes an Everbridge notification system to call affected customers. Aquarion encourages customers to sign up for this free service at www.aquarionwater.com/alerts.

Customers with restoration-related questions may contact Miguel Torres, Standby Manager for Aquarion at (203) 926-4304. For service or water-related issues, please contact Aquarion Customer Service at 1-800-732-9678.
