Aquarion Water Company Encourages Nominations for 13th Annual Environmental Champion Awards

Awards program celebrates New Hampshire’s environmental volunteers and sustainability leaders

HAMPTON, N.H. – March 17, 2026 – Aquarion Water Company today announced that nominations are open for the 2026 Aquarion Environmental Champion Awards in New Hampshire. Now in its 13th year, the awards program recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations across the Granite State who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to protecting and preserving New Hampshire’s natural resources.

“As proud stewards of the environment, we deeply value the individuals and organizations who share our commitment to safeguarding New Hampshire’s natural beauty and ecological health,” said Carl McMorran, Aquarion’s New Hampshire Operations Manager. “Each year, we are inspired by the dedication and impact of environmental volunteers and sustainability leaders across the state. We encourage individual and organization nominations, and look forward to once again recognizing the inspiring contributions of our local environmental stewards.”

The 2026 Aquarion Environmental Champion Awards will honor outstanding environmental achievements in the Business, Adult, Non-Profit Organization, and Student (Grades 9–12) categories. Honorees in the Business, Adult, and Non-Profit Organization categories may designate an environmental non-profit organization to be awarded a $5,000 grant in their honor. The winner of the Student category will receive a $1,000 award. In addition, all honorees will benefit from statewide promotion highlighting their environmental leadership and commitment to conservation.

The deadline for submissions is May 22, 2026, and award recipients will be announced on June 18, 2026, during a special ceremony at the Seacoast Science Center in Odiorne Point State Park.
