Need help paying your water bill?

We offer a number of financial assistance programs to help eligible customers who are having difficulty paying their water bills. Learn about our Voucher Program and COVID-19 Payment Program, their eligibility requirements, and how to apply for assistance below.


Voucher Program

Eligibility Requirements

New Hampshire customers who qualify can get a one-time voucher in the amount of $50.

To qualify for Aquarion's Customer Assistance Program, customers must be:

  • Receiving bills on a monthly basis
  • A homeowner in Aquarion's service territory OR a contractual renter (water bill must be in tenant's name)
  • A recipient of benefits through one of these programs:
    • Emergency Aid to Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC)
    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
    • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
    • Section 8 (Housing Choice Voucher Program)
    • Food Stamps
    • Fuel/Heating Assistance
    • Medicaid
    • Veteran's Benefits MGL c.115

Please note: Social Security retirement benefits alone do not qualify you for this program.

How to Apply

If you meet the qualifications above, download the application. Complete the application, attach your proof of eligibility, and mail it as instructed.

COVID-19 Payment Program

The COVID-19 Payment Program is available to residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire.

  • Payment Plans: Enroll in a payment plan to pay a past-due balance over a period of up to 12 months. As long as you make your payments, your service will not be disconnected for the duration of your plan. No fees or interest will be charged for the duration of your payment plan.
  • Financial Hardship Payment Plans: If you are experiencing a financial hardship, a special 24-month payment arrangement is also available to customers that qualify.
  • No late payment fees will be charged on balances from the beginning of the pandemic through the end of your plan.
