System improvements, upgrades and projects

We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system.  Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.

Sturges Rd, Old Mill Rd & Terrace Hill Rd Main Replacement - Fairfield

Jun 3, 2022 Connecticut

Project Update

Main installation on Mill Hill Terrace is complete. Services will be connected after main installation on remaining streets.

Project Goals and Objectives

A water main replacement project is scheduled to begin May 2022 on the following streets: Sturges Road, Old Mill Road and Mill Hill Terrace. Work is expected to be completed by end of August. Final paving will then be scheduled in coordination with the Town of Fairfield.

Scope of Work

The project, which will replace approximately 1300 feet of water main, is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system and to ensure the highest quality water. The upgrades will also help to reduce leaks and water main breaks that can cause service interruptions. Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
