System improvements, upgrades and projects

We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system.  Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.

Sep 21, 2021 Connecticut

Project Goals and Objectives

A new water main extension project is scheduled to begin early October on North Main Street and between Keirstead Circle and Sherwood Lane. Work is expected to be completed by the end of November. Final paving will then be scheduled and performed by the Town of Marlborough in the spring of 2022.

Scope of Work

The project, which incorporates approximately 2819 feet of water main, is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system and to ensure the highest quality water. During construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
