System improvements, upgrades and projects

We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system.  Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.

Bruce Park Ave. Main Replacement - Greenwich

May 4, 2021 Connecticut

Project Goals and Objectives

A water main replacement project began March 22 on Fairfield Place and Bruce Park Avenue and is expected to be completed by the end of June. Final paving will then be scheduled in coordination with the Town of Greenwich.

Scope of Work

The project, which will replace approximately 890 feet of water main, is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system and to ensure the highest quality water. The upgrades will also help to reduce leaks and water main breaks that can cause service interruptions. Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Schedule

  • Construction to begin March 22, 2021
  • Completion by the end of June
  • Restoration and final paving will follow in coordination with the Town of Greenwich
