We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system. Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.
Planning is ongoing for the installation of a PFAS removal system at the Mill Road WTP. The system will consist of granular activated carbon (GAC) filters to treat raw water from Well 6. The system is being designed for expansion should other wells require treatment to meet current or future PFAS standards. This system is projected to be operational in mid-2021.
This project will replace old asbestos-cement water pipes on High Street in Hampton between Locke Road and Pine Street.
