We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system.  Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.

Southwest Regional Pipeline Diversion Permit Application

Project Goals and Objectives

The increased capacity of the Southwest Regional Pipeline (SWRP) will provide supply resilience, reduce drought risk, and enable Aquarion to make ecological reservoir releases in compliance with new regulations.

Response to Public Questions

On August 26, 2020, the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) held a public information meeting on an application submitted by the Aquarion Water Company for a permit to divert the waters of the state. View Aquarion's responses to public comments from this meeting.
